Ultimately it is easy to presume rain showers an inconvenience during the summer holidays when visiting Isle of Arran but not for us since we actively yearn for some rain mixed with sun producing the most breathtaking spectrum of light – rainbows.
Dark moody skies, rays of sun glistening through distance rain drops reflecting colourful lightwaves to form a multicoloured circular arc bequeathing a mystical world of unicorns, fire breathing dragons and otherworldly magical beauty you may have conjured from reading childhood story books.
Oak’s spirit seemly claiming every fragment of the rocky, rough and mountainous landscape in his Mabli knits new AW18 season collection, inspiring our every senses. The striking Donegal woollen yarns with it’s flecks of colour running through the chunky skinny rib top, coordinating entirely with the speckled natural rocks alongside the beach and the ocean.
We first discovered Mabli, designed in Wales, last year and have been completely mesmerized ever since with the kaleidoscope of Welsh tapestry patterns in a prism of colours to heavenly mix and match together endlessly.
They are the perfect luxurious clothing for the unexpected Scottish weather, giving Oak maxmise warmth with plenty of freedom to wander inquisitivy and play amongst his rugged natural playground for the week.
Swathe in protected supersoft extrafine merino wool, so soft on Oak’s precious skin with it’s hypoallergenic, temperature-regulating moisture-repellant and durability properties which are simply enchanting in this vast wilderness.
Oak runs to catch the falling ethereal colourful bow where iridescence sparkles on him from head to toe. The rainbow keeps moving away in the distance dark mist but we don’t need to find the pot of gold since we have already found it in Mabli.
“Make us some rainbows, star-spangled rainbows, please continue to make those spellbounding rainbows for us Mabli”.
